The new Icom IC-PW2 1 kW LDMOS HF/6m Amplifier

The IC-PW2 is Icom's first HF/6m amplifier using LDMOS technology.

We are pleased to announce the new IC-PW2, which has been released at Tokyo HamFair 2023 (August 18-20, 2023).

The IC-PW2 supports DPD (Digital Pre-Distortion) Linearization with IC-7610 and SO2R operation with IC-7610 & IC-7851.

IC-PW2 Salient Features:

• Power output: 1 kW (220-240V mains, 2 kVA input), ICAS rating.

• Drive power: 100W max.

• Single MRFX1K80H LDMOS power device (V_DD = 65V) on forced-air-cooled pallet.

• High-efficiency iinternal switch-mode power supply.

• Fast internal relay-chain antenna tuner with sealed relays (no motors or air-variable capacitors).

• Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) linearization with IC-7610 as exciter (requires IC-7610 firmware V1.40 or higher).

• 2 SO-239 drive inputs; 6 SO-239 antenna ports.

• 2 BNC RX ANT IN/OUT ports.

• SO2R operation with Icom exciters (requires exciter firmware update).
